How does the WNWN app work?

Using WNWN is super easy! Here’s how it works.

  1. Download the App and Create Your Profile
    Download the free WNWN app and create your profile. This includes setting your initial location and search radius.
  2. Browse for Available Deals of the Day
    The WNWN app will show you available Deals of the Day based on the location and search radius you have set. Not all sellers post every day, and we continue adding new sellers, so it’s important to check back regularly.
  3. Reserve Your Deal
    When you find a deal that appeals to you, reserve it. Payment is handled through the app. The status of your Deal changes from “available” to “pending.”
  4. Pick Up Your Food
    Arrive at the designated location during the established pickup time period. Show the seller your confirmation in the app, slide the confirmation bar to verify, and receive your food order.
  5. Eat Well & Share Your Experience
    Enjoy your food while saving money and helping to reduce food waste. If you enjoyed your experience, please tell everyone about the WNWN app. If you experienced any issues, please tell us as soon as possible.
How much money can I expect to save?

WNWN sellers offer Deals of the Day at a substantial savings off their regular prices. When using the app, customers are able to see both the original value and the exclusive WNWN Deal price on each posted offer.

Are there any WNWN registered businesses near me?

The Waste Not Want Not network is currently restricted to the states of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Within those states, the number of registered businesses grows regularly, so even if none are near you today, that may change by tomorrow. That’s why it’s important to keep checking back. Or better yet, enable notifications on the app and it will let you know when a deal becomes available in your search radius. More states will be added soon, so people across the USA are encouraged to follow us on any of our social media channels.
